SEO Audit Template

Log every audit finding with evidence, severity and a recommended fix, plus a summary tab that tells the client what to do first.

Description

An audit is only useful if the client can act on it. This template records each issue once, with the page, the evidence and a plain-English fix, then rolls everything up into a short summary.

Use case

Use it for a first-look audit of a new client site, a quarterly health check, or before a redesign or migration.

Instructions

  1. Crawl the site and list each problem on the Issues tab, one row per issue type and page group.
  2. Add evidence: a screenshot name, crawler export row or the exact text you saw.
  3. Rate severity by impact on visibility or conversions, not by how many URLs are affected.
  4. Write recommendations a non-technical client could forward to their developer.
  5. Fill in the Summary tab last and list the top three fixes in order.
