Practice case study: the business and numbers are fictional and written for learning.

Results at a glance

  • Within two months, calls from the profile returned to pre-move levels (fictional figures).
  • 18 listings corrected, starting with the Business Profile and largest directories.
  • A monthly profile routine now catches changes before patients notice.

The situation

Maple Grove Family Dental (a fictional practice) had two locations. After moving one office across town, calls to the new address dropped and patients kept arriving at the old one. Their SEO VA was asked to find out why.

What the VA found

  • The Business Profile for the moved location still showed the old suite number.
  • Fourteen directory listings showed the old address; four showed an old phone number.
  • The website footer used a different practice name format than the profile.

What the VA did

  1. Confirmed the correct name, address and phone with the practice manager.
  2. Updated the Business Profile, then added new photos of the office and a post announcing the move.
  3. Worked through the Local SEO Audit Template to correct the largest directories first.
  4. Matched the website footer and contact page to the profile exactly.
  5. Set a monthly profile routine using the Business Profile SOP.

Lessons

Moves and rebrands are the most common cause of inconsistent business details. Fixing the profile first and the biggest directories next delivers most of the benefit quickly; the long tail of small directories can follow over a few weeks.
